- Colton Underwood revealed he and Mark Ballas became friends on The Traitors.
- The Bachelor star said he’d love to compete as a same-sex pairing on Dancing With the Stars.
- Ballas previously danced with Derek Hough for a special DWTS performance.
Bachelor star Colton Underwood went to The Traitors season 4 to sniff out the competition, and came back with a new friend in Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas.
The 33-year-old TV personality, who came out as gay in 2021, opened up about his experience filming the new season of the Emmy-winning Peacock show among other reality stars, and he indicated that his bond with 39-year-old Ballas led him to consider a future run on DWTS.
“I would be so terrified. I would want to do it, because I love pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. But I have tight hips,” Underwood told Us Weekly. “My mobility is not the best, but what I lack in my flexibility, I make up for in strength.”

He went on to say that, if he ever joined the cast of the dancing competition series, he’d love to participate as a same-sex dancing couple with Ballas.
“I want to dance with Mark, because I know him from Traitors,” Underwood confirmed.
Past same-sex couples that have competed on DWTS include JoJo Siwa and Johnson, Shangela and Gleb Savchenko, and Nyle DiMarco and Keo Motsepe, who performed the American version of the show’s first same-sex dance in 2016.
Underwood explained that The Traitors‘ new edition “is, by far, one of the most exciting shows” he’s “ever been part of” in his career.
“I remember when I first was getting ready to do it, I said to my husband, ‘I’m too old to be fighting with Housewives on TV. I’m scared of them. They’re a different breed. I don’t know what to do,'” continued Underwood. “And he’s like, ‘It’s fine, you’ve got this.’ And it was. It is the most epic season. It was so much fun.”
