Ariane Bellamar died from a heart attack last year, but it has taken Nevada’s Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner until now to finally confirm it
A top Playboy model died from a heart attack aged 46, a coroner has ruled. A GoFundMe has been launched to cover funeral costs of Ariane Bellamar, with a ex-husband Tanner Slaught claiming she was “not prepared” when it came to having money to cover her own funeral.
She was found dead on December 20, 2024, with Nevada’s Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner only now ruling on what the cause was.
In a fundraiser, which only raised around £1,000 since launching last month before being disabled for unknown reasons, Tanner said: “While this unbelievable news is shocking because she was only 46, I can assure you that I have verified this truth.
“Unfortunately, Ariane, and the rest of us, were not prepared for this sudden turn of events. Therefore, the financial responsibility of putting on Ari’s funeral has become Scott and my financial weight to bear.”
As well as her work with Playboy, which involved filming alongside Hugh Hefner, she also appeared on Beverly Hills Nannies, The Millionaire Matchmaker and had smaller roles in DC’s Suicide Squad and The Hangover.
In 2012, Bellamar told WeLoveSoaps about what a normal day at the office is like at Playboy.
She said: “Well, my office is more of a mansion. My day at work’s more like hosting huge parties. But it gets a little stressful. “I was a very unattractive child, and there’s always a part of me that feels like that gangly 15 year-old again walking into those situations.
“It’s hard to keep your confidence up and to be who you’re hired to be. You’re hired to be a beautiful, glamorous hostess and sometimes it can be a little unnerving.
Several on X, formerly Twitter, commented on the sad news of Ariane’s passing.
“Very sad. Many women do not know the signs of a heart attack,” one X user shared. Another shared, “May God rest her soul,” while a third noted, “Awww so sad RIP.”
