NBA star Anthony Edwards asked a judge to sanction his ex Ayesha Howard for her “manipulative and unjustifiable conduct,” In Touch can exclusively report.
On Tuesday, May 6, Anthony, 23, filed a response, obtained by In Touch, to Ayesha’s recent plea with the court to reconsider the order which determined child support would not be set in California.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star said the court previously ruled he had no ties to California.
He said the court determined he did not have sexual intercourse with Ayesha, 37, in the state.
Anthony’s lawyer added, “Ayesha has failed to provide any evidence demonstrating that she pays utilities in California, rents a home in California, has signed a lease in California or had any connection to California.”

Anthony’s attorney continued, “Her only contacts with the state are in connection with her bad faith attempt to game the system and mislead the Court to obtain a California child support order.”
His lawyer added, “It is clear that the conception of the minor child was a planned-out scheme for Ayesha, who recently attached documentation demonstrating that she was tracking her ovulation around the time that she became pregnant.”
He added, “This was a clearly planned financial decision for Ayesha. The parties’ presented their arguments regarding jurisdiction as it relates to child support and the Court made findings in support of its ruling. Ayesha, unhappy with the outcome, now attempts to get a second bite at the apple. Her manipulative and unjustifiable conduct should not be condoned.”
“Ayesha’s motion blatantly disregards this fundamental requirement, instead recycling previously rejected arguments while submitting a collection of documents that not only fail to support her position but actively contradict it,” his lawyer argued.
Anthony said Ayesha “oddly submitted as evidence” her ovulation tracker.

He said the tracker did not establish jurisdiction but rather “suggests a calculated plan to conceive a child with Anthony, raising disturbing questions about Ayesha’s motives.”
The NBA star asked that Ayesha be sanctioned for her conduct. A judge has yet to rule.
Ayesha previously told In Touch, “My daughter Aubri deserves a future built on honesty and integrity not decisions clouded by errors or injustices.”
As In Touch previously reported, Ayesha and Anthony are the parents to a daughter named Aubri Summer Howard, born in October 2024.

Anthony Edwards
The NBA star filed a paternity and child support case in Georgia, where he claimed Ayesha and him lived. Ayesha filed a separate case in California claiming she moved before Aubri was born. A DNA test was done in December 2024, which showed Anthony was the father.
Anthony demanded the California case be thrown out. He accused Ayesha of filing her case in Los Angeles in an attempt to score a higher child support award. Anthony alleged Ayesha worked at the Atlanta strip club Magic City until she became pregnant in early 2024.
Ayesha denied the claims. She was adamant that California is where she lives.
The judge ended up siding with the NBA star and ordered child support would not be set in L.A.

Anthony Edwards’ Alleged Text.
As In Touch first reported, last month, Ayesha pleaded with the court to rethink the decision. She submitted a series of evidence to back up her position.
In her filing, Ayesha said, “Throughout these proceedings, Mr. Edwards and his legal team have not only misrepresented his own connections but have also made false and damaging statements about me, in what appears to be an effort to discredit my character.”
She said, “One such claim was that I worked at Magic City in Atlanta until 2024. This is false. I have obtained documentation from the Atlanta Police Department showing that my last business license with that establishment expired in 2018 — seven years ago. I have been forthcoming in stating that I have not worked in Georgia for over a decade, and the evidence supports this statement.”
As In Touch first reported, as part of the legal battle, Ayesha submitted alleged texts from Anthony after she told him she was pregnant.
In one alleged text, Ayesha wrote, “I’m pregnant … wanted to tell you in person but you gave me no other choice. We probably should have kept it cordial but we’re here now.”
In the same alleged conversation, Anthony allegedly wrote back, “Ok lol. Get da abortion lol.”
As In Touch first reported, Anthony filed a declaration in the court battle stating he has no desire for custody or visitation of Aubri.
He told the court, “[Ayesha] and I have one minor child together, Aubri Summer Howard. Paternity was recently established through DNA testing. I am not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri. Therefore, the only issues to be resolved are financial in nature.”
The child support for Aubri has yet to be set by a judge.
