Buried among the revenue projections and corporate moves announced by Paramount Global executives in an earnings call in May was a sliver of news coveted by fans of the hit series “Landman” starring Billy Bob Thornton.
Season two of the show is set to drop in November.
An exact release date has not yet been made public.
When is Landman season 2?
“Landman” premiered in late 2024 and quickly became Paramount+’s most-watched original show with 14.9 million households in its first four weeks.
The show created by Taylor Sheridan of “Yellowstone” fame is set in modern West Texas following speculators, barons and other members of the oil rigging world including “landmen” who broker deals between companies and landowners.
It also stars Demi Moore and Jon Hamm. It received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers. Among the highlights of season one was a surprise appearance of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones who even more surprisingly delivered an emotional monologue about life, death and family.
Season two has begun production with crews spotted filming in Fort Worth in May.
