KANSAS CITY — Jonathan India’s three-run homer off Emmanuel Clase in the 10th inning Saturday gave the Royals a 5-3 win over the Guardians in the first game of a day-night doubleheader at Kauffman Stadium.
Kyle Manzardo gave the Guardians a 3-2 lead with a one-out single in the top of the 10th inning. The Guardians loaded the bases with no outs in the 10th off Steven Cruz (3-1), but the best they could get out of the inning was one run.
