WWE Raw results, live blog (Aug. 4, 2025): SummerSlam fallout show

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Aug. 4, 2025) streaming on Netflix from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It will feature fallout from this past weekend’s big two-night SummerSlam premium live event in New Jersey.

Advertised for tonight: New World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins will be on hand for a “stiff” conversation with General Manager Adam Pearce, and we’re guessing the man he cashed in on during the “Ruse of the Century”, CM Punk, will show up too. We’ll also have appearances from Women’s Intercontinental champion Becky Lynch after her successful defense against Lyra Valkyria, and new Women’s Tag champs Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss.

Plus, the latest banger between Sheamus and Rusev… and a whole lot more!

Come right back here at 8 pm ET when the Raw live blog will kick off once the show starts on Netflix. It will be below this line here.

WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR AUG. 4

And even though I’m full of sin, in the end you’ll let me in. You’ll let me through, there’s nothing you can do. You need my liveblog of this here pro wrestling show, don’t you know it’s true?

The show opens with a recap of SummerSlam phrased as a media hype reel excited about how successful the show was, seguing into a recap of the high spots and major events of both nights.

And then the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.

Seth Rollins makes his entrance, flanked by “Big” Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman as usual.

Rollins basks in the adoration of the crowd until they switch to “CM Punk!” chants and then Heyman begins, saying he’s your humble Oracle, humbled by standing in the presence of the future of WWE, the Big Dog who patrols our yard, Bron Breakker. Humbled by standing here in the same ring as the Tribal Thief, the owner of the Shoe-la Fala, “Big” Bronson Reed.

At this point he would be introducing you to the champ, the OTC, Roman Reigns, but Roman hasn’t been champion for a year and a half now, has he? He would be standing here and introducing you to the champion, the Best in the World, CM Punk, but CM wasn’t champion long enough for them to put his sideplates on the belt!

We were all part of it, on Saturday night not only did CM Punk have one of the greatest title matches in history against GUNTHER but there he was thanking us for chanting his name and bringing him back and he thought he’d be married to the title forever, but he wasn’t, because not only did Seth crash the wedding, he stole the title for a honeymoon and she was goooood. (Ew?)

So he gives Seth a big championship introduction.

Rollins now gets on the mic and says shame on every single one of us who turned our backs on him after he won the main event of WrestleMania. Shame on everyone who taunted him for months with “CM Punk!” chants. Shame on everyone who taunted him with “OTC!” chants for months. He tells everyone to never doubt him ever again.

Is Roman Reigns the world champion? No. Is CM Punk the world champion? No. Seth Rollins is the world champion, and shame on everyone who turned their back on him. He’s been a marked man for months, and shame on every single person in the locker room who made it their mission to stop him from cashing his Money in the Bank contract in.

Everyone back there thinks they’re so smart, so clever, they’re gonna stop him at every single turn, but need he remind you, he always has a plan B. And this time the only two people who knew were his beautiful wife and his Oracle, and they have achieved what they set out to achieve, they have absolute power, and nobody can stop them.

This is iconic. This is the way forward. This is The Vision.

Enter LA Knight.

He gets on the mic and congratulates the four morons in the ring and continues, saying he’s not here for a fight, he’s just here to answer some questions. Lots of people are wondering why Seth would fake an injury when he already had the briefcase, but he’ll tell you why— he wasn’t faking the injury to win the title, he was faking the injury to duck LA Knight.

So he came here tonight to remind Seth that he was the last one to beat him and he’ll be damn sure the next one to beat him, and he’s given him the ammunition and now he can hurt him way worse than he could have hurt him before by taking that world title from him, because there’s no better place than now or time than here.

Seth tells him he’s got some guts coming into his ring and challenging him for his world title and he doesn’t think he’s got the guts? He wants to fight him right here tonight in Brooklyn, live on Netflix for the World Heavyweight Championship? No.

The Vision take their leave but Adam Pearce comes to the stage.

He apologizes for the interruption but he has some things to get off his chest. Normally he wouldn’t make a world title match with zero promotion but normally a WWE Superstar wouldn’t have his medical team lie to Raw’s medical team for weeks, a normal champion wouldn’t lie to his face, so to hell with normal, the match is happening tonight, with the title on the line!

And since Seth stole a great moment from the people at SummerSlam, it’s only fair that he steal something from Rollins— Bron ‘n Bron Connection is banned from ringside!

Judgment Day are walking backstage and they’re all smiles about Dominik Mysterio retaining the Intercontinental Championship but Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne! Perez go off together to lick their wounds from losing the women’s tag titles.

The boys run into the Latino World Order and Dom demands respect as the king of the luchadors, but Dragon Lee says if he wants respect he’ll have to earn it in a match tonight, and Mysterio agrees to the match!

AJ Styles comes over and Finn Balor and JD McDonagh step up in his way but AJ says he’s not here to slap Dominik around, and he gives him credit for being clever with the boot, but he needs to know that he’s gonna keep coming and Dom is gonna run out of tricks, and pound for pound, hold for hold, Styles is one of the best.

Rusev makes his entrance for yet another match against Sheamus, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we see various celebrities in the crowd.

Rusev vs. Sheamus

Rusev jumps Sheamus out the gates, lighting him up with punches in the corner, Celtic Warrior turns him around, wild punches hot and heavy, the Redeemer takes him down and they roll around trading punches! Back on their feet, headbutt from Rusev, Sheamus drops him with a lariat! Redeemer taking control, falling shoulder block, punches get blocked but he drops the Celtic Warrior with a boot!

Elbow drop, axhandle, choking Sheamus under the ropes, up in the turnbuckles, Sheamus gets him… AVALANCHE WHITE NOISE SENDS US TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, Rusev laying chest kicks in but Sheamus wants more! Block a kick, hard elbows, Irish Curse connects! The Redeemer counters the Beats of the Bodhran by hanging Sheamus’ neck in the ropes, duck the Brogue, he gets tied up in the ropes, Celtic Warrior wants the imploding Beats of the Bodhran but Rusev shoves him into the ringpost after a brief struggle!

Bulgarian Brute out after him and Sheamus bodyslams him into the announce desk! Rusev recovers and puts him into the steel steps! Sheamus back body drops him over the barricade, Rusev hits Beats of the Bodhran on the floor but referee Rod Zapata is counting! Sheamus turns him around and hits his own Beats of the Bodhran as Zapata hits ten…

The match goes to a double count-out draw.

Post-match, referees and road agents swarm to break them up but Rusev manages to dork Sheamus in the face with the steel steps!

Rusev has the Shillelagh but Sheamus cuts him off and beats him down as they desperately try to pull them apart! They clash again but this time all the security and whatnot gets them apart!

We get “earlier today” footage of New Day backstage in ever more ridiculous mourning gear when Grayson Waller rolls up to say he appreciates them and they say he should be pleased to drop Austin Theory but they’re still in mourning and they’re simply not going to be in the right state of mind until they get their titles back, and it’s all that bald-headed tyrant’s fault.

Grayson storms over to Pearce, who is talking to Penta, and says he’s representing the greatest tag team of all time and he demands New Day’s rematch. Adam says they can have their rematch when they earn it, and as far as Waller goes, he’s earned a match against Penta. Penta drops a Cero Miedo in his face and Grayson offers up “no stress” in return.

New Day come over and ask Waller when their match is but he prevaricates and we cut back to present.

Penta makes his entrance to send us to break.

Grayson Waller vs. Penta

Penta with a side headlock, shot off, drop down, strut, giant step, Waller pops up, Zero ducks a right hand and snaps off a tijeras that sends him to the floor! New Day make their entrance and the sheer enormity of Xavier Woods’ mourning sombrero becomes clear. Penta cuts him off, whip across, up and Grayson bails and puts him face-first into the desk! He celebrates with New Day and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Waller with cravate knees, Penta kicks his leg out from under him, corkscrew X-Factor, backbreaker connects, corner gamengiri, the headstand double stomp, cover for two! Grayson recovers, walks the ropes, nobody home on the elbow drop, crucifix for two! Pumphandle, Waller slips out, trading superkicks, big boot gets a knee, both men go for lariats and they’re down and out!

Out and back in, Zero counters the rolling thunder with a superkick, to the corner, up and over…

Penta wins by pinfall with a corkscrew flip piledriver.

Post-match, Kofi Kingston checks on Grayson Waller while Xavier Woods taunts Penta, so Zero kicks Woods into Kofi and steals Xavier’s giant hat before frisbeeing it to the floor and landing a tope con giro!

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte are walking and talking backstage when Rusev Sheamus brawl through the frame and we go to break!

Back from commercial we get a recap of Brock Lesnar returning and laying John Cena out, intercut with fawning fan reactions and media headlines to make it seem like this isn’t bare minimum a morally questionable decision on WWE’s part.

Commentary promises us John Cena live on SmackDown to talk about it.

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair make their entrance and gets on the mic.

Flair says it’s great to be a champion again and after Bliss needles her she admits it feels good to do something as a we instead of a me, and maybe if Alexa would stop hitting her in the head, maybe they could be… well, whatever, they don’t need to put a label on it. Bliss tells her to say it, Charlotte says she doesn’t know what she wants, and Alexa says she thinks she means the f-word.

Charlotte says Alexa is a pain in her a-word, Bliss tells her she’s stuck with her and they try to add up how many titles they’ve had between them but they get interrupted by the distaff Judgment Day, the former champions, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne! Perez.

Rodriguez asks who would even want to be friends with Charlotte and Perez says nobody cares because the only thing that does matter is bringing all the gold back to Judgment Day. Raquel says they might not get a rematch but they came out here to get the titles back tonight. Alexa asks if Charlotte is thinking what she’s thinking and Flair says they never back down from a challenge and they’ll put the tag titles on the line and kick them in their a-words right here, right now. (Van Halen is kicking ass in America?)

Adam Pearce makes his entrance.

He says he gets it, it’s the Raw after SummerSlam, but normally a title rematch takes some time to put together and promote but what the hell tonight’s not normal and the match starts right now!

That is, after the break.
