Jeremy Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown to end with season 5 – and he says they already have “a really cool end” in mind for us

It appears that Mike McLusky will serve as Kingstown’s mayor for two more years before stepping down.

When Mike McLusky actor and Avengers star Jeremy Renner was injured in a 2023 snowplow accident, he spent months recovering hoping he could one day get to work. Renner’s first day back at work was returning to the Paramount+ thriller Mayor of Kingstown, a television show he had been starring in (and producing) since 2021. For Renner, this meant a return to normalcy.

“It was great to get back, and it creates a lot of jobs, and it’s good for me to have an assemblance of any sort of normalcy in my life. That was encouraging for my mental health. I’m glad I’m back,” Renner says during a panel at Florida Supercon.

Renner also gave some news about the future of the series.

“I just did my second season we just finished since the incident, and I think I’m signing it off to finish it off in two more. We found a cool end, I’m not going to tell you, but we found a really cool end, I think, to the show.”

It sounds like Mayor of Kingstown will end after five seasons, which means we’ll have two more years of McLusky style chaos and creation.

Mayor of Kingstown seasons 1 – 3 are currently streaming on Paramount+, with a fourth season announced. And now a fifth season, according to its star/producer Jeremy Renner.
