KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell has been charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop on Friday, according to court documents.
According to those court documents obtained by WVLT News, Knoxville police pulled over a Dodge Charger on Friday just before 9 p.m. for quickly accelerating from a red light and speeding at 60 mph across the Henley Street Bridge, which has a speed limit of 35 mph.
Officers said they spoke with Brazzell, who was driving the car, and he gave them a U.S. Passport but said he didn’t have his driver’s license with him.
The warrant said police found that Brazzell had a suspended license for failing to appear in court in Blount County on Aug. 15, 2024.

Officers said Brazzell was arrested due to having a history of not appearing in court. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 20.
A spokesperson for the University of Tennessee told WVLT News, “We are aware of the traffic stop involving Chris Brazzell II and have no further comment at this time.”
Brazzell played in all 13 games last season and had 29 receptions, 333 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
