Highlights and goals of Guinea vs Algeria (1-1) in African Nations Championship | 08/15/2025

Guinea drew 1-1 with Algeria following goals by Ismaël Camara and Sofiane Bayazid.  The referee ended the match in an offensive move by the Algerians and the players claimed, but time had run out. The game was very intense.

The last moments are being lived with a lot of tension on the substitute benches, Guinea had an opportunity, but did not concretize it well and Algeria will now have a chance with a free throw against the bow. It may be the last of the match.

Six more minutes are added. Both teams continue to play with good intensity and the pace of the match remains high, some offenses cut the game by moments, but Guinea and Algeria intend to seek victory.

Very intense and decisive is being what Algeria poses, has the control of the ball and the game, also rolled back to Guinea in his area looking for a draw goal. The coaches continue to give directions for their teams to finish well the match.

Interesting positioning after the goal, the block is low and all Guinean players are committed to take care of the advantage they have. For their part, the Algerians are still waiting for a clear opportunity to level the playing field.

The compromise had a drop in the pace, the proposal became for Algeria that seeks the tie and has the ball, however, does not find spaces or has managed to create danger on the defensive zone of Guinea which is well positioned.

Guinea is looking to take care of their result, they have withdrawn a lot in their field and Algeria is trying to advance more their lines. They have tried some mid-distance shots to surprise, but have not had direction to the arch.

Algeria tries to react and wants to attack by the bands, comes with a lot of players on the opposite field, but the defensive block of the opponent prevents him from having more clarity in the last quarter. There is a lot of intensity in the game.

Guinea made the first change of the match. They brought on Mohamed Boké Cámara for Mohamed Diabate. Coach Souleymane Cámara is looking to refresh his defensive midfield by switching center back for center back. He’s not taking too many risks yet.

Friends, we’re back. No substitutions were made at the start of the second half. Algeria and Guinea are playing with the same 11 players. We hope for more scoring opportunities and the excitement that was missing in the first half.

In a rather uneventful and uneventful first half, the first two minutes were played. Algeria finished the first half with possession in the opponent’s half, looking for the first goal at all costs!!!!!!!!

Guinea has gained confidence and is looking for a goal. The home side hasn’t been able to impose itself throughout the match, being very predictable and erratic. Algeria hasn’t been able to attack, but has been good in defense.

Algeria must play much faster, because Guinea will inevitably disrupt the game with fouls or rough play. The visitors must rely on the individual quality of their players. Guinea’s shot went wide! Nothing happened!

In 30 minutes of play, Guinea had two chances but couldn’t finish them properly. Algeria had possession over the final minutes but only generated one clear chance. It’s even the only one we have so far.

Algeria has tactically talented players on its roster who have excelled at their clubs match after match. The visitors can’t fall into Guinea’s game of just fighting and struggling; they have a bit more to do.

The match was very short-circuited by constant fouls, and the referee lost control of the game. Guinea gradually became less physical, while Algeria had the ball but didn’t know what to do with it!!!!!!!!!!

We’re over 20 minutes into the match. Algeria has positioned itself well on the pitch and looks more comfortable than it did in the opening minutes. The visitors began to play through the inside, using only elaborate, collective plays.

The match entered a lull. Both teams were searching for strategies to damage the opposing defenses. Guinea was applying speed and Algeria, but their offensive plans were still predictable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Algeria responded with a great collective play. The visitors launched a cross into the opponent’s box, their forward headed it, and the goalkeeper made an incredible save. Guinea must be very careful with these types of shots, because the goal can come from there.

Guinea had the first chance to score in the match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Algeria was saved. The visitors have had many problems in their defensive zone; they are still not in the best position.

Guinea started the match with a clear high pressure. Algeria waits in their own half, attacking and firing the ball into space. The key today is to take advantage of the flanks and the speed of the wingers.

Friends, we’re off. Welcome to the African Nations Championship. Guinea and Algeria are now playing in Matchday 4 (Group C). There’s a good atmosphere in the stadium. We’re looking forward to a great match, full of excitement and goals.

Prior to this edition, Algeria had two remarkable appearances in the African Nations Championship. In 2011, it finished fourth, and in 2022, it lost the final on penalties to Senegal. In two games, Les Fennecs have not lost. They dominated Uganda 3-0 in the first game before drawing 1-1 with South Africa. The Algerians showed impressive attacking prowess, scoring four goals in two games. They conceded only one.

Guinea is participating in the African Nations Championship for the fourth time. It reached the semifinals in 2016 and 2020. Chile got off to a good start in this edition with a 1-0 victory. Souleymane Camara Abedy’s boys were then defeated successively by the host country Uganda 0-3 and South Africa 1-2.

Anything less than victory here would knock Guinea out of the tournament and unfortunately for them, their backline just doesn’t look strong enough to contain this Algerian team over the course of 90 minutes, especially with the latter needing to win themselves. Expect Algeria to offensively overwhelm their opponents, who have conceded five goals in their last two games and ultimately come away with the three points that they so desperately need.

In what is proving to be an incredibly tight Group C, Algeria currently find themselves second-place in the table after two games played after beating Uganda 0-3 and drawing 1-1 against South Africa. Here, they face a Guinea side who are coming off the back of consecutive defeats, which leaves them on the brink of elimination.

We’ll soon be sharing the starting lineups for the Guinea vs. Algeria match live, along with the latest information from Namboole Mandela National Stadium. Don’t miss a single detail of the live match update and VAVEL’s commentary.
