NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Severe weather is possible overnight.
A First Alert Weather Day is in effect through early Thursday morning.
Another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms is possible from about 2AM to 8AM.
Damaging wind and heavy rain are the main threats.

A second round is likely after midnight. Those storms will bring soaking downpours and the threat for a few damaging wind gusts.
As they slide eastward, they will weaken. The lowest chance for severe weather with any of tonight’s storms will be over southeastern Middle Tennessee.
By sunrise Thursday, rain will be exiting to the south.
