A mini musical will mark the new season of The Witcher

The popular series The Witcher will end its Netflix run with seasons four and five, and fans are already getting the first information about both parts of the story. The fourth season is particularly interesting, which is expected to appear by the end of this year, and the latest news reveals that it will include an episode focused on the musical.

The inspiration for it comes from a section of the book and fans of writer Andrzej Sapkowski will either adore this segment or reject it completely.

A new report from Redanian Intelligence reveals that a beloved moment from the book “Baptism of Fire” will be adapted in season four. The moment features the group sitting down and enjoying a brief break from the chaos while making fish soup, which then transitions into a larger, musically-tinged sequence.

In the book, Geralt, Regis, Cahir, Milva, and Jasikir exchange witty lines and have energetic interactions. According to the report, the series will expand on this sequence significantly, revealing additional backstories about the characters. It seems like an entire section of the episode is dedicated to this scene, in part because of the flashback sequence that turns into a mini-musical.

In a special retrospective sequence, viewers will get a glimpse into Jasikir’s past with Waldo Marks. During this extended segment, the entire Witcher musical will be performed, in which Jasikir sings while the other characters sing and dance along with him. Also, younger versions of characters such as Kahir and Milva will appear in flashbacks.

If this is a significant part of the episode, it could become one of the most notable moments of the season, especially since Jasikir is one of the show’s most prominent characters. On the other hand, musical sequences and themed episodes often cause divisive reactions, so it’s expected that fans will have different opinions about this segment.

The series has seen a number of changes compared to the books, and audience reactions have been mixed, depending on the changes. Since it’s a beloved scene from the books, many fans will likely be excited to see it expanded upon in the series. However, the introduction of a mini-musical could cause mixed reactions – fans will either love or criticize the sequence when it airs.
