SAN DIEGO — Manager Alex Cora is sticking with the same lineup for Saturday that was successful yesterday.
The Red Sox and Padres will play the second game of their three-game series at 8:40 p.m. eastern. The Sox secured a 10-2 victory on Friday, with starting pitcher Walker Buehler tossing 6 scoreless innings.
Boston righty Lucas Giolito (8-2, 3.57 ERA) will start opposite San Diego right-hander Michael King (4-2, 2.59 ERA).
Starting catcher Carlos Narváez (sore knee) is not in the lineup for a third straight game. Backup Connor Wong, who had a bases-clearing three-run double Friday, again will be behind the plate.
Masataka Yoshida, who had a strong performance Friday with a homer, double, sac fly and three RBIs, is back in the five hole.
