Denver Broncos Sign PFF’s #1 Ranked Free Agent

The Denver Broncos could legitimately be entering a Super Bowl Window, so adding PFF’s #1 Ranked Free Agent would go a long way for this defense.

The Denver Broncos had an unexpectedly successful 2024 season, and with Head Coach Sean Payton and Quarterback Bo Nix still at the helm, it’s time to turn this team into a legit Super Bowl Contender.

In one of TWSN’s Recent Articles, the team broke down why Jevon Holland is a perfect fit for the Broncos.

Luther Burden a MUST DRAFT for the Broncos?

The Broncos had one of the best defenses in the NFL, but over the final six weeks they took a serious plummet. Jevon Holland is a free agency aquisition that would make a ton of sense for Denver. Here was the excerpt from the TWSN Free Agent Landing Spots Article:

“This is a match made in heaven for both parties involved. Holland had a down season in 2024, and part of this could have been the loss of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio to the Eagles as well as losing his tag-team-partner Brandon Jones.

The good news is the Broncos have a massive hole at their safety position, the Dolphins appear willing to let Holland walk to focus on other cap problems, and that safety Jones is now in Denver. Sean Payton has always made his secondary a priority, and with the offensive line having been heavily invested in along with an elite group of young pass rushers, the secondary is the focal point.”

Jevon Holland Connection with Broncos Safety Brandon Jones

The immediate connection that stands out is the Brandon Jones being former teammates with Holland connection. We don’t know the extent of their “Friendship” but the safety position is unlike any others as both work hand in hand. The Broncos are also in a spot where their offensive line and defensive line are somewhat solidified, and they can afford to splurge on positions like Wide Receiver and Safety.

All in all, Holland is the third ranked free agent in the 2025 class, and is projected to have a contract of 4 yrs-$19.5m avg/yr-$57.5m guaranteed-$98m total.

The Denver Broncos have a window within Bo Nix’s rookie contract to splurge elsewhere on the roster, and this offseason should not be any different. The safety position has been lacking since the Justin Simmons and Kareem Jackson duo were no longer, so Holland would bring some serious juice to the position.
