Michael Strahan isn’t leaving Good Morning America any time soon — but he will be popping up on a fan-favorite show later this year!

Fans know the ABC news anchor for being one of the faces they look forward to seeing every weekday morning. But it looks like Michael has some other plans in the world of TV, as Variety dropped a surprising announcement about his next gig on the small screen on July 14.

According to the outlet, Michael is set to be a guest shark on the hit reality show Shark Tank. He’s not the only one who’ll make an appearance, though, as Chip and Joanna Gaines, Alexis Ohanian and others are also going to pop up when the new season begins airing this fall.

“This multi-hyphenate is ready to take a seat as a Guest Shark! 👏,” the caption read for a post on Michael’s Instagram confirming the news. “Don’t miss @michaelstrahan on this season of #SharkTank, Wednesdays this fall on ABC and stream on Hulu.”

When folks realized that Michael would be having a guest spot on Shark Tank, they were elated for the chance to see what companies he may or may not invest in.

“Love the show and can’t wait to see Michael on there,” one person wrote in the comments. “You deserve to sit in the chair and make offers. My fav show,” another declared. “Way to go helping others to reach there goals I like that 👏👏👏👏👏,” a different follower noted.

While details behind Michael’s guest spot on Shark Tank are being kept on the down low, he did share his excitement about the opportunity on GMA the same day the news broke online.

“The shark teeth with a gap!” he jested in a clip posted on Instagram. “I gotta say, it’a a lot of fun. I was really nervous, but once you get there, they’re amazing and they make you feel great. They really show you the ropes. I had a great time and you’ll have to watch to see.”

Congrats, Michael, and we can’t wait for this!
