“Shark Tank” Season 17 has set an all-star lineup of guest Sharks, Variety has learned.
The season 17 guest Sharks include:
Allison Ellsworth, founder and chief brand officer of poppi
Chip and Joanna Gaines, owners and founders of Magnolia
Alexis Ohanian, venture capitalist and founder of Seven Seven Six; co-founder of Reddit
Kendra Scott, owner and founder of Kendra Scott
Michael Strahan, co-anchor, “Good Morning America” and co-founder of SMAC
Fawn Weaver, founder and CEO of Uncle Nearest Inc.
Rashaun Williams, venture capitalist, Atlanta Falcons LP
Both Williams and Scott have previously been guest Sharks on the popular series, with both having appeared in Season 16.
All the new additions will appear alongside returning Sharks Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, Daniel Lubetzky, and Kevin O’Leary. It was previously announced that Mark Cuban would not be returning to “Shark Tank” for the new season after 14 seasons with the show.
“Shark Tank” will air on ABC Wednesdays this fall. Per the official description, “The Sharks – tough, self-made, multimillionaire and billionaire tycoons — will continue their search to invest in the best businesses and products that America has to offer, and will once again give people from all walks of life the chance to chase the American dream and potentially secure business deals that could make them millionaires.”
Mark Burnett, Clay Newbill, Yun Lingner, Max Swedlow, Brandon Wallace, Corcoran, Greiner, Herjavec, John, O’Leary, Barry Poznick and Phil Gurin are the executive producers. “Shark Tank” is based on the Japanese “Dragons’ Den” format, created by Nippon TV. The series is produced by MGM Television, a division of Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Sony Pictures Television.
