Roman Reigns could be the ‘1’ again.
Reigns has not been seen on WWE TV in months. The Original Tribal Chief’s last appearance came on the RAW after WrestleMania 41, when he was taken out by Seth Rollins’ new faction. Fans continue to wait for his triumphant return, which is reported to be sooner rather than later.

Last year, Reigns ended a four-month hiatus from WWE television by returning at SummerSlam 2024. There, he debuted his “OTC” (the Only/Original Tribal Chief) nickname that he’s used since.
Now, it appears that when Reigns does come back to WWE TV, he will have a new nickname, or it’s at least being discussed. According to a new report from WrestleVotes, one nickname being floated around is “Tribal Chief One,” or “TC1” for short. Sources claim this is how Reigns would be marketed upon his return, which is expected at SummerSlam.
Who will Roman Reigns feud with when he returns?
It’s worth noting that this new nickname is similar to the “QB1” moniker that Cody Rhodes adopted in recent years. Rhodes has used that name on his WWE merchandise and explained that he adopted it due to seeing himself as the top star or “quarterback” of the promotion.

Despite the similarities between Reigns’ rumored name and Rhodes’, it’s unclear what Reigns’ plans for his return will be. Rhodes is already scheduled to challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam. Rhodes and Reigns are forever linked due to their matches against each other at WrestleMania 39 and 40. However, it’s worth noting that the two did team up at Bad Blood 2024 in Atlanta, site of this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event special broadcast.
One of Reigns’ enemies is Solo Sikoa, who is also scheduled to defend his United States Championship at SNME. Paul Heyman also called Reigns out this week on RAW, claiming that Reigns didn’t have the balls to come back and step up against his new stable. Fans have speculated that Reigns could show up this weekend, but his official in-ring return won’t take place until SummerSlam.
Where will Reigns show up next? We’ll have to wait and see.
