Severe storms that moved through Oklahoma during the overnight and early morning hours on Saturday prompted multiple tornado warnings and produced at least one twister as well as large hail. People’s phones were going off as early as the 2 o’clock hour on Saturday as severe storms produced a tornado warning in the metro. That storm produced some hail and heavy rain, but the severe weather intensified in other parts of the state. KOCO 5 Field Meteorologist Michael Armstrong was in Asher when a tornado touched down, causing power flashes and some damage. At one point, he and Chief Photographer Kyle Hamm had to get out of Storm Command to remove a large, fallen tree limb from the road as heavy rain continued to fall.
