VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) – A major power outage shut down rides, leaving people stuck mid-air, at Wild Adventures Theme Park Saturday afternoon, according to a post on its Facebook page.
“A widespread power disruption linked to a nearby utility substation impacted operations at Wild Adventures,” the post said.
Several other posts on Facebook describe riders dangling in the air, screaming, as they waited to be rescued.
Wild Adventures confirmed the power has been restored and anyone who was impacted by the disruption received “rain checks.”
WCTV reached out to Wild Adventures to get more specific information on the incident, including how long the outage lasted and how many people were stuck on rides. We did not immediately receive a response.
