HERRIMAN, Utah (KUTV) — The search has ended for a man who went underwater at Blackridge Reservoir and did not resurface.
Officials with the Herriman Police Department said the body of 22-year-old Deng Ador was recovered at 11 p.m. Saturday.
Witnesses reported that Ador and 21-year-old Sa Mafutaga were in distress at the reservoir around 5:40 p.m. Mafutaga was able to get to the shore, but police said he went back in when he saw Ador was still struggling.

Bystanders ran to the water to help both men. They were able to help Mafutaga back to the shore, but Ador went under the water and did not resurface.
Rescue crews responded and treated Mafutaga at the scene. He was sent to the hospital and was expected to make a full recovery.
Police said Ador went underwater about 35 yards from shore.
Water rescue teams from the South Jordan Fire Department and Unified Fire Authority searched for Ador. Dive teams from the Utah Department of Transportation were also called to the scene.
Sgt. Greg Shaver said UHP’s submersible robot was brought in to help with the search. Crews located Ador at 10:40 p.m. and were able to pull his body out of the water 20 minutes later.
Police have asked anyone who was at the reservoir at the time and has not spoken to officers to contact them.
Shaver said Blackridge would remain closed until further notice.
