Kelly Osbourneis speaking out against the rumors surrounding her parents, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, particularly the claims of a so-called “suicide pact.”
The 40-year-old TV personality took to Instagram Story early on Friday, July 11, to express her frustration with recent AI-generated videos and social media posts suggesting that her father, Ozzy, was nearing the end of his life due to his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease. The viral videos, which mimic the 76-year-olds voice and claim he “knows he’s going to die,” prompted Kelly to say, “What the f**k is wrong with you people?”
Kelly clarified her father’s health status, stating, “Yes, he has Parkinson’s, and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not f**king dying.” She then criticized the continued speculation about her parents’ health and the alleged suicide pact. Kelly also referred to the idea as something Sharon, 72, said at one point. “That was bull sh**t my mum said to get attention one time,” adding that the public should stop making posts about it.
The “suicide pact” rumors stem from comments Sharon made in 2012 to The Mirror, where she discussed plans for assisted suicide should either of them suffer from a debilitating illness like Alzheimer’s. Kelly, however, firmly shut down the idea that these discussions were relevant to her parents’ current state and ended her rant by saying, “My dad’s not dying, stop.”
Kelly’s emotional post follows Ozzy’s final performance at the Back to the Beginning show in Birmingham, England on July 5, where he bid farewell to fans with an emotional speech and former band, Black Sabbath, reunited for one final show. Despite being less mobile, the rocker still made a memorable entrance on stage and performed his set seated.
The concert featured other memorable performances from bands like Slayer, Tool, Metallica, and more and was organized by Sharon. Kelly also received the surprise of a lifetime herself when her boyfriend, Sid Wilson, proposed backstage at the event in front of her friends and family.
