The 43-year-old was spotted at the New York Liberty game alongside her three daughters on Tuesday as the hosts dispatched the Chicago Sky, breaking cover for the first time in weeks
Vanessa Bryant, the widow of former NBA legend Kobe Bryant, made a rare public appearance this week as she broke cover for the first time since dispelling recent pregnancy rumors.
The 43-year-old, who previously shared a heartwarming moment with pop icon Taylor Swift, was spotted at the New York Liberty game alongside her three daughters on Tuesday as the hosts dispatched the Chicago Sky 85-66 at Barclays Center to keep up their 100 per cent record to start the 2025 WNBA season.
That was despite the efforts of Angel Reese, who put together one of her best performances this season by registering 11 rebounds, three assists and a total of 17 points for the Sky. New York’s win, however, came just days after the team had held a surprise meeting with the Obamas.

On Wednesday, however, those inside Liberty Center would have been struggling to keep their eyes off Bryant as she sat courtside with her three daughters, despite the entertaining action taking place on court.
That’s because it was the philanthropist’s first appearance since she had to shut down rumors circulating on social media that she was pregnant earlier this month, even though she hasn’t publicly dated anyone since her husband’s death more than five years ago.
Bryant took it in good humor, though, dropping a viral Rihanna meme in which the pop star is pictured in the ocean raising a drink and putting her middle finger up to the camera.
“Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer,” Bryant’s caption read alongside several emojis, which proved to be her clever way of addressing the speculation that she was potentially set to have another child.
Her appearance this week, then, certainly turned heads, as it was the first time she had been spotted since addressing her pregnancy rumors – and she didn’t disappoint.
Rocking a red coat with matching shoes and bandana, on top of some jeans, punters could hardly take their eyes off her as she watched the action unfold courtside.
The official WNBA Instagram page even uploaded a small clip of Bryant and her children on the night, where they can be seen smiling and waving for the camera. A caption read: “Vanessa Bryant and family courtside for tonight’s Sky-Liberty matchup on ESPN.”
Fans were quick to take to the comments section to continue speculating over her potential pregnancy, yet ultimately the majority praised the mother-of-three for continuing to show her courage and strength in the wake of her husband’s tragedy.
“Beautiful Family. Kobe is watching over his family,” wrote one person. Another said: “Honestly, who cares if she’s pregnant or not. And if she is? Good for her. It’s been five years. She deserves some form of happiness. Leave her alone.”
Bryant was also subtly cheering on Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, who the family have been good friends with since her and Kobe were involved with the former college basketball star during her time with the Oregon Ducks.
