See footage of State Street flooding in aftermath of severe weather in Wisconsin
A car turns around to avoid flooded on August 10 State Street near Milwaukee-Wauwatosa border.
It’s expected to be a pleasant Labor Day in the Milwaukee area.
There is no rain in the forecast on Sept. 1 and high temperatures are expected to be around 77 to 75 degrees.
“Overall, a really nice Labor Day for everyone here in Wisconsin,” said Taylor Patterson, meteorologist with the Milwaukee National Weather Service office in Sullivan.
Patterson said there are light winds coming off of Lake Michigan.
That could make temperatures a little cooler for those attending Milwaukee’s Laborfest celebration, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Henry Maier Festival Park, 200 N. Harbor Drive, along the lakefront.
“If you are right along the lakeshore, it could be slightly colder than being inland and in Milwaukee proper,” Patterson said.
