After a strong weekend, the Detroit Tigers begin a three-game series with the Houston Astros on Monday night.
The Tigers are back home from a seven-game road trip that was bumpy at times. They are finally off a hard stretch of games against American League Central rivals. After winning two of three against the Chicago White Sox, Detroit visited the Minnesota Twins for a quartet of games. After a number of uncomfortably close games against the lower teams, Detroit finally flexed its offensive muscles last Friday night with a 7-0 win.
